We did so well on the savannah, that we got time to think about the stars, and we can up and leave this planet, and look back down on what is ours, and as we race on some are left behind, some burn out as others start to shine, and you may never think about it, you might not ever have the time. We are the guardians of the only place ever called home, spinning in an endless, empty unknown alone. So ask the time traveller to tell you how the story ends, my dear. Ask him from me if there's time enough for us to make amends, this year. Because I do fear, the tipping points near, and they've no idea. Some are fed but most are hungry, most scavenge whilst some are out to dine, the few get fatter from the many, but how often is it ever called to mind, as men with title and position, build towers higher than any man climb, from steel and glass they never pay for, looking down on you from ninety stories high. So who are these guardians of the only place ever called home? Seven billion people here and people still dying alone.

Loose 04:41
Well there's a spring in my step tonight and I don't know why A tailwind behind me, and my feet are light A flow to my movement and a grace in my stride Yeah there's a spring in my step tonight and I don't know why And I feel no urgency No need for emergency I feel the tension release and my mind is at ease, I feel Loose I can hear the sirens wailing But it don't make me jump tonight Mean eyes starin' But it don't make me break my stride Oh and there's a drum beat poundin' And my heart it beats in time Yeah there's a spring in my step tonight and I think I know why And I feel no urgency No need for emergency I feel the tension release and my mind is at ease, I feel Loose And all these feelings conspire to put me on top Gravity disappears with every step that I walk The clouds split and the sun points like a searchlight to where I stand The gods they smile upon me as they place their power in my hands The blood courses through my veins but my face remains cool and calm Yeah there's a spring in my step tonight since you took my hand And I feel no urgency No need for emergency I feel the tension release and my mind is at ease And the DJ speaks to me In his secret frequency I see my name in his lights I'm no longer uptight I feel Loose

Savages in Saville Row suits briefcase, Italian leather boots Sewing bloodshed trying to reap peace pouring poison to cure the disease you never learned the lessons never learned the lessons never learned the lessons that you ought to Fighting fire with fire when you shoulda used water And you've done the dirty work in the devil's hours And we've to pay the price now the debt is ours I coulda wrote you a love song and made you smile And left you looking at the world through covered eyes I coulda wrote you a love song made you warm inside And left you looking at the world in it's disguise It's true, helping a man when he doesn't need help isn't really helping at all He's gotta learn how to struggle, learn how to fight How to stand up when he falls But the fight is fixed The fight is fixed The fight is fixed The game is rigged, the dice are weighted so he never rolls a six And you've done the dirty work in the devil's hours And we've to pay the price now the debt is ours I coulda wrote you a love song and made you smile And left you looking at the world through covered eyes I coulda wrote you a love song made you warm inside And left you looking at the world in it's disguise Oh god made man and man made the borders God showed us love and man gave us orders But greater than the force of a mighty army Is the power of an idea whose time has come And you've done the dirty work in the devil's hours And we've to pay the price now the debt is ours I coulda wrote you a love song and made you smile And left you looking at the world through covered eyes I coulda wrote you a love song made you warm inside And left you looking at the world in it's disguise The savage in the Saville Row suit Has a bag on his back that says "loot" It's yours and it's mine but he says with a smile Do as I say, not as I do

I told you I don't wanna buy your things And I told you straight I told you I don't wanna be your friend Can't you just go away Cos every time I need you the very least That's when you're there I can't get no rest, can't get no peace When you're in my hair And someone keeps inviting you back And I don't know why He's in here somewhere But he's buried to deep inside You're with my friends but you're not them And you can't pretend This rollercoaster's ran its course And it's time to end So give me my Sunday's back you can't Have them to keep I need to know that when it's light I should've gone to sleep But someone keeps inviting you back And I don't know why He's in here somewhere But he's buried to deep inside You come with smiles and you leave with tears But then you wipe them dry You show us hope and you hide our fears Such a beautiful lie I've sailed your crests and I've suffered your troughs And I still return So in your warmth and welcome I will bask And in your fires I'll burn Cos someone keeps inviting you back And I don't know why He's in here somewhere But he's buried to deep inside

Trouble 04:49
Ever since I was a new blood looking for a new rush I didn't have to do much and trouble always brewed up I started making good waves doing what the school says Man they were good days but trouble works in cruel ways I'm in trouble I'm in trouble Who woulda been able to say that trouble would take me this way I know I put a foot wrong I know I shoulda been gone But maybe I was too strong as trouble stood and looked on So this is where I am now gotta keep my hands down Gotta make new plans now in case trouble sends a man round I'm in trouble I'm in trouble Who woulda been able to say that trouble would take me this way I'm in trouble I'm in trouble I never thought I'd see the day that trouble would take me this way Take a deep breath as you're led through the door "Click" goes the lock as you stare at the floor All this that once seemed a distant affair Is so far from real now, now that you are there So everywhere I may go Trouble has to say so My head don't have no halo So it's gonna have to stay low Trouble's been a friend to me Trouble is my enemy Trouble gave me plenty And trouble left me empty I'm in trouble I'm in trouble Who woulda been able to say that trouble would take me this way I'm in trouble I'm in trouble the winds of fortune have changed And dark clouds are rolling my way Double trouble, toil and struggle, hot soup, soapy bubble

Legacy 05:40
Your overdressed lies stand out against the naked truth It's no surprise I saw it before I'd even looked Your friends in the high places cover up your disgraces keep all the straight faces strictly need to know basis And you can never lose So start from a clean slate Slim down to lean weight Call on supreme state To save us from our fate Cos we, we are just pawns In this big game, this big game going on And soon we'll be gone Will our legacy carry on? Maybe one day, he'll come along And the right man will drop the bomb And I wonder, would it be so wrong? To forego my freedom To those sent to lead us Stop all the dreaming Be part of the sequence Cos we can only lose So start from a clean slate Slim down to lean weight Call on supreme state To save us from our fate Cos we, we are just pawns In this big game, this big game going on And soon we'll be gone Will our legacy carry on? Carry on Carry on Carry on

I know a man who is at war with himself And it's a fight to the death He doesn't know it yet and he keeps ignorning himself He's in a terrible mess And it's all just moving a little too fast to study So he tries and he tries and he cries out his eyes But he just can't deny that he's fallin' behind I know a girl who doesn't know her own worth She just does what she's told She's been like this now since a very young age And she'll be like this when she's old And it's all just far too big and bold to study Though she tries and she tries and she cries out her eyes But she just can't deny that she's fallin' behind A lightbulb will appear above her head (and all will be revealed) A lightbulb will appear above her head (and all the wounds will heal) A lightbulb will appear above her head (and enemies will kneel) I know a boy who thinks it's time to be a man And he just doesn't understand He wants to move forward and by all means he can But when he wants to move backward he can't And it's all just moving a little too fast to study Though he tries and he tries and he cries out his eyes And he just can't deny that he's fallin' behind A lightbulb will appear above his head (and all will be revealed) A lightbulb will appear above his head (and all the wounds will heal) A lightbulb will appear above his head (and enemies will kneel)

The black gold is rusting upon your crown The palaces it built are coming down A new tsunami breaks on your horizon When it hits will you still be around? I wished the snow would keep on fallin' The world we know, buried below The white façade conceals the Wicked Kingdom And the new people never know Oh you can't hold it You were bought and sold for black gold No, you can't control it So sell your soul for black gold Now on the tundra the new world's thriving And no man's rule holds no sway The people go from day-to-day surviving Father hunts while his children play And mother makes a home for all to dwell in She's equally valued in the role she plays And each man sleeps just like a baby Knowing the world was meant to be this way Oh you can't hold it You were bought and sold for black gold No, you can't control it So sell your soul for black gold Until one day, one new man's stirring And covets more than his neighbour has He feels the call of the Wicked Kingdom and sets out with a shovel upon his back He digs down to a world built by slaves and finds a crown and a black gold throne And now he knows that his only purpose is to multiply and multiply the things he owns Oh you can't hold it You were bought and sold for black gold No, you can't control it So sell your soul for black gold

Promises made in haste they say, are broken at leisure Abandon all hope, ye who enter You'll never know you were alive until you're dead, unless you venture where others fear to tread It's time for a little less carrot and a little more stick (that's what they say) A little less easy and a little more strict But these are just words and sounds Is there any truth there to be found? Yeah these are just noises that rhyme But they captivate us and capture the divine Hey! Would you rather a flawed diamond, than a perfect pebble? Did you fix the roof whilst the sun was shining? Hearts are often broken by words unspoken So let it all out whilst the flood gate's open. Our mediocrity is not hard to see As the sapling is bent, so grows the tree. But these are just words and sounds Is there any truth there to be found? Yeah these are just noises that rhyme But they captivate us and capture the divine Hey! I heard you say we're gonna get there, eventually So I know we're gonna get there, eventually Oh you said we're gonna get there, eventually So I'm sure we're gonna get there, eventually Yeah you said we're gonna get there, eventually So I know we're gonna get there, eventually

Now you've walked this journey with me and shared the sounds that spent eternity in my head until now you've seen through my eyes and heard through my ears you've seen the depths of love, joy, elation, ambition, desire, anguish, struggle, confusion and fear. You know one can make way for another with the wave of a hand or a glancing look You know that pits can be as deep as mountains high, but each has a peak or a trough, and limits exist on the extent of any human ordeal. However good or bad it is for you, it could always be better, or worse. It's not possible to see the peak of the highest mountain from the depths of the deepest pit, but it's there no less and within reach. You've realised now that there is no high without low, no win without loss, no gain without sacrifice. You know that the world is not a fixed concept for us all to observe, but a variable and relative phenomenon, wholly dependent on the perspective of the observer for its definition. The vision you see when you look at the blue sky might not be the same as that appearing in my head when I gaze upon the same sight, but we'll never know. You know that time changes everything for a man, even if it changes nothing for matter. You realise now that we all live on the same planet, but in entirely different worlds. You'll know that no man ever steps in the same river twice, and that madness is not doing the same thing twice and expecting different results, you might do the same thing twice whilst everything else around you has changed in between times. You'll know that despite all of the wondrous creations people have left on this earth, and the immensely complex structures of culture, art, society, law, science and economics it's the people themselves that are more valuable than any of their creations. And further, you'll know that the connections, collaborations and co-operations we establish give us more satisfaction than anything we could ever attain alone. Wealth is measured not in currency but in loved ones and friends. Prestige is measured not in power, but in respect. You'll know that simple things can have profound effects, that the ripples from the smallest pebbles spread across the widest pond. Mighty oaks from little acorns grow.
