Now you've walked this journey with me
and shared the sounds that spent eternity in my head until now
you've seen through my eyes and heard through my ears
you've seen the depths of love, joy, elation, ambition, desire, anguish, struggle, confusion and fear.
You know one can make way for another with the wave of a hand or a glancing look
You know that pits can be as deep as mountains high, but each has a peak or a trough, and limits exist on the extent of any human ordeal.
However good or bad it is for you, it could always be better, or worse.
It's not possible to see the peak of the highest mountain from the depths of the deepest pit, but it's there no less and within reach.
You've realised now that there is no high without low, no win without loss, no gain without sacrifice.
You know that the world is not a fixed concept for us all to observe, but a variable and relative phenomenon, wholly dependent on the perspective of the observer for its definition.
The vision you see when you look at the blue sky might not be the same as that appearing in my head when I gaze upon the same sight, but we'll never know.
You know that time changes everything for a man, even if it changes nothing for matter.
You realise now that we all live on the same planet, but in entirely different worlds.
You'll know that no man ever steps in the same river twice, and that madness is not doing the same thing twice and expecting different results, you might do the same thing twice whilst everything else around you has changed in between times.
You'll know that despite all of the wondrous creations people have left on this earth, and the immensely complex structures of culture, art, society, law, science and economics it's the people themselves that are more valuable than any of their creations.
And further, you'll know that the connections, collaborations and co-operations we establish give us more satisfaction than anything we could ever attain alone.
Wealth is measured not in currency but in loved ones and friends.
Prestige is measured not in power, but in respect.
You'll know that simple things can have profound effects, that the ripples from the smallest pebbles spread across the widest pond.
